Wellbeing relates to all aspects of a person’s life and is a key factor in determining an employee’s motivation, happiness and longevity.

Wellbeing is slowly being regarded as a priority as we continue to live in a period of constant change and unpredictable conditions.

It is not just healthy eating, it is about creating a culture that places importance on the emotional, physical and social wellbeing of its employees so they feel valued, are able to cope better in stressful situations and make more positive contributions.

How do you get your organisation to prioritise wellbeing?

  • Talk to others
  • Form a group that acts as the main liaison for all things wellbeing
  • Get support from people at the top to help drive the focus

These all work towards driving the focus but there is one other key ingredient — strong relationships. Having strong relationships in the workplace leads to quality relationships which in turn leads to a more inclusive and happier environment because to achieve this the workforce have to be understanding of the physical, emotional and social wellbeing needs of its employees.
